Question:
We have a Ford Explorer 2018 Platinum, with tow package - But apparently the tow package doesnt include anything. We would like to add an Electric Brake Controller to control the brakes of a camper trailer. Ford said they dont have one. We need to do after market. What do you recommend? How much will it cost? Is it something I could install myself?

In order to install a brake controller on a 2018 Ford Explorer (All Models) you'd first need to start with a trailer wiring harness, the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 7-Way Trailer Connector part # 118272 is what I recommend. It would however require part # PK12711U and part # C57202. Then for a brake controller, the Curt Echo Wireless Trailer Brake Controller part # C51180 is the easiest to install option and uses something you are already comfortable with so it's most user friendly. I highly recommend this for weekend warriors.
