Furrion Vision S Camera not Getting Power When Connected to Factory Plug

Question:
I just bough the furrion vision s 5 inch shark fin system. My 5th wheel is new and has the backup mount and cord already there. When I plug the camera into it. I do not get any power. I have plugged my 5th wheel to my truck in the bed. turned on running lights, tried reverse etc and no power. I plug into the monitor to the cigarette lighter and it has a side port. The camera works and pairs with the monitor. Im not sure why I have to power to the back camera. could it be my wiring for the hitch cord? Ram 3500 2016. Help please

It sounds like you may not have power getting back to the camera. Start the truck. Check the plug on the truck to make sure you have power coming from all the pins except one. One will be ground. Have someone run through the functions on the truck while someone test the pins. If you have power there, plug your camper into the truck and make sure all of the lights are working. Run through all of the functions again with the camper connected. If all that is good, check the factory wire on the back of the camper for the camera, make sure it has power. If there is no power at that camera connector you can either track down where that wire runs or you can use the secondary wire adapter that comes in the kit.
To use the secondary wire adapter that comes in the kit, remove one of the rear lights closest to the camera mount. The back of the light has two wires, one ground and one power. Determine which is which. They are typically red/power black or white is ground. The secondary wire adapter has a red and black wire. Red/power black/ground. Attach the red from the secondary wire adapter to the corresponding wire on the light and repeat the process for second wire. There is a pairing button on the bottom of the camera. Once you have plugged the monitor in to a 12v source, push the pairing button on the camera until you see a blue LED. You will have to have the running lights on if connecting the camera this way
If you want the camera to work only with the a reverse light signal the power wire from the secondary wire adapter has spliced into the corresponding wire coming from either the vehicle or the camper.
