Can you attach a ball hitch to carrier and pull a 2,500lb boat?

I do have an option that will allow you to carry a cargo carrier and tow your 2,500 lb boat, however, a ball mount cannot attach to the end of a cargo carrier to tow a trailer. Instead, check out the Curt Multipurpose Ball Mount, # D210. This ball mount will allow you to tow your trailer with the lower ball mount and carry your cargo carrier using the receiver.
The towing capacity of this ball mount is 7,500 lbs and the tongue weight capacity is 750 lbs. The receiver weight capacity is 350 lbs. The recommended 2 inch hitch ball for this ball mount is part # 19247.
I would recommend looking into a cargo carrier with a bend in the shank like the Pro Series Cargo Carrier, # 63153. This will give the cargo carrier plenty of lift over the tongue of your trailer. I have attached a video review of this cargo carrier for you to check out.
