Tonneau Cover and Rack System for 2020 Jeep Gladiator to Carry Kayaks

Question:

There are tonneau covers and roof rack systems for your 2020 Jeep Gladiator that will allow you to carry kayaks, but ladder racks (truck bed racks) are not compatible with a tonneau cover on your Gladiator. The reason is all the ladder rack systems for your Jeep require the use of the inside bed rails to clamp on and install, which would interfere with a tonneau cover. If you want to forego a tonneau cover you can install a rack system, the Yakima OverHaul HD Adjustable Truck Bed Ladder Rack - 60" Crossbars # Y01151-57 or 68" Crossbars # Y01151-58. You could then carry one or two kayaks with the Yakima JayLow Kayak Carrier with Tie-Downs # Y04073. Alternatively, if you wanted the tonneau cover along with a roof rack system you could do that. For a tonneau cover I recommend the BAK Revolver X2 Hard Tonneau Cover # BAK97FR or BAK Revolver X4 Hard Tonneau Cover # BAK47FR. These are the same cover, with the only difference being the matte black finish of the Revolver X4 and is a great because it is very low-profile, sitting just 1/2" above your bed rails for a sleek look. It's easy to use because it's a roll-up cover but is still a hard tonneau so you get that extra protection. To carry your kayaks with the the Yakima JayLow Kayak Carrier # Y04073, you would then need to add a roof rack, the Rhino-Rack SG Roof Rack # RRSG59. For a soft top cover for your 2020 Jeep Gladiator I recommend the TruXedo Lo Pro Soft Roll-up Tonneau Cover # TX523201. This is an easy-to-install tonneau cover that has weather seals to protect your Gladiator's bed and simply rolls up when you want the bed of your Gladiator to be free. This is an economical, low-profile tonneau cover that will look great on your Jeep.
