The Convert-A-Ball Interchangeable Trailer Ball Kits do not feature wrench flats on the shanks.

Our installers routinely use a large screwdriver through the ball retaining hole in the shank to prevent the shank from spinning while the nut is torqued.

We do offer a TowSmart Interchangeable Hitch Ball Set, as part # 3481256. The shank does have wrench flats, a 2-5/16, a 2 inch and a 1-7/8 inch trailer ball are included and the set has an 8,000 lb capacity when used with the 2-5/16 inch ball that should be sufficient for your needs.
