Difference Between Curt and etrailer Trailer Hitch Receivers for 2019 Acura MDX
Question:
what are the differences between the e98840 and the c13146?

Expert Reply:
The only difference between the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13146 and etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e98840 for your 2019 Acura MDX are the finishes.
The Curt has a glossy black finish while the etrailer hitch has a matte black finish. The style you like is really just personal preference but the matte black finish of the etrailer hitch tends to hide minor nicks and scratches better than the glossy finish of the Curt.
Other than that, the two hitches offer the same bolt-on installation and same 6,000 lb towing capacity and 900 lb tongue weight capacity. I have added links to video installs for you to check out on a 2019 Acura MDX of both the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13146 and etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e98840.
Also, if you are looking to tow with your MDX and need a 4-flat trailer wiring harness, the most reliable harness and one I recommend is the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118628.
