Can Air Bag Kit for 2001 Ford F-350 be Mounted to Outside of Truck Frame

Question:

I have a 2001 f350 that Im going to put a 1108 bandw turnoverball kit in. Im planning to do air bags at the same time. My question is, is there a bag kit that goes outside of frame, that is compatible with the bandw hitch kit? Or am I stuck with inside the frame kits? Thanks

It's a great idea to install the B&W Gooseneck Hitch # BWGNRK1108 and the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Bag Kit # F2550 at the same time on your 2001 Ford F-350. The Ride-Rite kit is the only one available that will fit with this B&W kit and it mounts to the inside of the frame. Even if it was okay to install the air bag kit brackets on top of the B&W brackets I don't think there is enough room on axle if you were to mount it on the outside anyways so it'll have to be the B&W on the outside and the Firestone on the inside.

Please note that this air bag kit won't fit a V10 Gas Engine with Extended Cab and 8 ft Bed. Other than that thought you're good to go! If you plan on using the air bag frequently then I also recommend installing a compressor kit like the Air Command I # F2158 because it will make your life a lot easier since you'll be able to monitor and adjust the air bags from your truck cab.
