What is Minimum Air Pressure of Firestone Air Bags
Updated 02/09/2018 | Published 02/08/2018 >
Question:
I recently purchased a 2005 GMC Sierra 2500 HD with the Firestone Ride Rite air bag. I did not receive a manual for these. There is a sticker stating minimum air pressure must be maintained. What is the minimum air pressure?

Helpful Expert Reply:
Minimum air pressure in all Firestone Ride Rite air bags is 5 psi.
This allows the bags to retain their shape properly and not end up folded over or in any other position that might cause a portion of the bag to wear out prematurely. You would not feel 5 psi in the bags either.
