Question:
Hi, we have Pleasureway Plateau FL class B RV 2018 MB Sprinter 3500 chassis and we’re getting 2 ebikes M2S All Terrain Scout. We’re thinking about getting the Hollywood RV Rider HLY64FR rack, and along with that, a pivoting hitch adapter so that we can swing the bikes/rack to the side and have the ability to open our rear doors. Perhaps the Kuat Pivot 2 or the product from Yakima or Thule. Our RV came with a 2” hitch, and the hitch is a Oris Type F50, p/n A9063101995. Is this Hollywood rack the right one for this application, and which of the pivot/swing-away hitch adapters should we get? Thanks for your help and please let me know if you need additional information. Best Regards,

The Hollywood Racks RV Rider # HLY64FR is an excellent option for transporting your 2 M2S All Terrain Scout E-Bikes! It was designed to be used with a motorhome, has a weight capacity of 70 lbs per bike, and uses a clamping arm that can be moved around to fit with the lower top tube on your M2S All Terrain Scout bikes.
When it comes to the swing-away hitch adapter I recommend the Kuat Pivot 2 # PVP20B over the Yakima BackSwing # Y02483.
The BackSwing is a great option but the reason the Pivot 2 wins over the BackSwing is due to the integrated anti-rattle. To help take out that extra play in the receiver you just have the knob that turns at the outside of the adapter while with the BackSwing you have to use the threaded hitch pin.
