Compatibiility of Hollywood Racks RV Rider Bike Rack Behind a 2022 Jeep Wrangler With Spare Tire

Question:

I own a 2022 Jeep Wrangler with a tire mounted on the back. I noticed on the specification for a Hollywood Racks RV Rider Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes – 2” Hitches – Frame Mount # HLY64FR that the rack offers a distance of 12” between the rack and the receiver’s hitch pin hole. I understand that this will work great and will give me the required distance for the rack in the down position. My question is will there be enough distance to raise the rack in a folded position with there being a 7- and one-half inch distance from the rack to the center of the hitch hole without there being interference with the mounted tire?

We noticed when we installed the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e98856 on a similar 2022 Jeep Wrangler it had 8" from the center of the hitch pin to the rear edge of the stock spare tire. This would likely not allow you to fold up the Hollywood Racks RV Rider Bike Rack # HLY64FR. You can consider using the Yakima BackSwing Swing Away # Y02483 which will extend the bike rack further from the spare tire and allow you to fold it up. It will also allow you to swing the bike rack to the right so you will be able to open your rear hatch.
