Transferring Prodigy P3 Brake Controller from 2015 Chevy 2500 to 2001 Chevy 2500

Question:

Hello. About 2 yrs ago or less i purchased a tekonsha prodigy p3 brake controller from your company. I used it in my 2015 chevy 2500hd. I took it out when i sold that truck and would like to put this controller in a 2001 chevy 2500hd truck. Is this able to be used in this truck as well? Do i need a different wire harness to tie into the truck? Any help would be great . Tjhanks jim palmer

Yes, you can install the Prodigy P3, part # 90195, in your 2001 Chevy 2500. You do need a different wiring adapter like you mentioned. Use part # 3025-P in the 2001. Part # 3016 is the adapter that was in your 2015.
