Question:
I found this article in your Q and A I have a 2003 Dodge Ram Diesel 2500 and am wondering if I can bypass the TIPM the same way this article states you can for a 2008? I do have a factory round trailer plug and a flat 4. Neither one work and I do believe my problem is the trailer relays in the TIPM box. Will this same recipe prescribed in the attached article bypass the TIPM on my 2003 rendering the non op trailer relays a non issue? Thanks.

I cannot see any reason why the trailer wiring managed by the TIPM on your 2003 Dodge Ram 2500 can't simply be bypassed. All you will need is the Upgraded Circuit Protected Tail Light Converter Hardwire Kit # 119178KIT along with 4-Pole to 7-Pole Adapter # 37185 if you do not have a brake controller or # ETBC7 if you do have a brake controller.
