There is no definitive guide to the installation of the Tandem-Axle Trailer Hanger Kit for Double-Eye Springs part # APT8. It is designed as a universal tandem axle trailer hanger kit. It can be used in many different situations. Basics are the hangers get welded to the trailer where you will require them for you application and everything attaches to them.
It depends on the leaf springs you are using. Basically you will need to mock it all up before permanently installing anything on the trailer. Generally speaking the distance between hangers would likely be 24-3/4 inches on center to 29-1/2 inches on center but again it depends on the springs being used. These are just rough guide lines and really the only way to get the right spacing for a given trailer is to mock everything up and adjust as needed.
I have included a guide for you to check out which cover proper positioning of them to get the best results. Check it out.
