while looking they show this part number in square tube and round tube,square tube is more concealed which do you have

We carry both of the Curt Hitches for your 2001 GMC Sierra the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 13332 which is square tube and the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 13322 which is the round tube.

Of the two I like the square because like you said it is a little more concealed. The installation process will be the same on both of the hitches. The instruction are linked for you to check out. As well as a video my buddy Shane did on a 1999 Silverado which will be identical.
