Can I Fit 4 Bikes on Factory Crossbars of 2018 Volvo V90 Using RockyMounts BrassKnuckles

Question:
Hi, I have a 2018 Volvo V90 that I am moving over to Switzerland with me. Swiss laws are complicated with hitch bike racks. I have the factory cross bars. I am hoping to put 4 bikes on the roof. Two are adult bikes and two are 20 kids bikes. The RockyMounts Brass Knuckles look like a good option. Since the cross bars are 43, do you think I could get all four bikes on there? Thanks!

It will be tight, but you should be able to fit your two kid's bikes and two adult bikes on the 43 inch long crossbars of your 2018 Volvo V90.
The front rail attachment on the RockyMounts BrassKnuckles # RKY1201, is 6-1/2 inches at its widest point (see photo). The width of the hook arm is 11 inches but you do have the option of installing it on either side of the rack, so you'd want the two BrassKnuckles mounted on either end of your roof to have the arms on the outside, to conserve your crossbar space. Four of # RKY1201 will take up 26 inches of total crossbar space, so as long as you also alternate the direction of the bikes, you should be able to fit all four of your bikes on there.
Since Volvo uses chunkier square bars, you'll also want to make sure your crossbars are less than 3-7/8 inches wide for the carrier to fit.
