Question:
Hi I have a 2016 Ford F-150. I have a factory hitch. Im looking to put a 10 or 12,000 lb hitch on to replace the 5000 lb one thats on there. I would like it to sit in the same location as the factory hitch right under the bumper. Could I remove the factory hitch and if so what hitch would I replace it with?

I have a solution for you, but the Curt # C14016 hitch you were looking at is designed to sit right below the existing factory hitch, so it's likely not going to be the best solution for you. I'll also add that the hitch on your 2016 Ford F-150 can be removed and replaced, so there is nothing to worry about in that regard.
If you want to remove your factory hitch so that a new hitch will sit in that spot and provide a more concealed solution, I recommend using the Curt # C26HR, which has the same 10000-lbs towing capacity (12000-lbs with weight distribution) as the above Curt hitch. This hitch has a durable powder coating that is going to help ensure that this lasts for the life of your truck and will replace the factory hitch without any drilling required during installation. Keep in mind that you're always going to be limited to the lowest rated component in your towing setup, so this hitch won't increase your towing capacity if it is lower than what the hitch is rated for. You will want to consult with your owner's manual using the specs of your truck to determine it's actual towing capacity.
If your F-150 does not already have a 7 way connector in place to connect to your trailer, I recommend using the Tekonsha # 118283 to install a 7 way connector because of the reliability of Tekonsha wiring harnesses over the long run. This kit will plug into the US car connector port behind the rear bumper and will provide you with a 7 way connector to power your trailer lights, brakes and provide auxiliary charging to your trailer battery.
If you also need a ball mount and hitch ball to complete your towing setup, I recommend using the etrailer Ball Mount Kit # EBMK2216 since it comes with a ball mount and both 2" and 2-5/16" hitch balls, hitch pin, clip and a handy carrying case to keep everything stored in. This will allow you to tow with a variety of trailers that may use different sized hitch balls and the ball mount can be used as either a 2" drop or 1" rise to accommodate different trailer heights.
I've linked some informational and installation videos of these parts for you to have a look at, as well.
