Is there any sort of locking pin for the par that holds the ball? Mine fell out going down the road, fortunately didn’t lose the ball.

Fastway has a lock set part # FA86-00-3660 that locks the ball mount to the vehicle hitch as well as the ball mount platform to the shank of the assembly which would work great for you. Sorry to hear about losing the pin!
