Keyed Alike Locking Pin For Ball Adjustment And Hitch Pin On Fastway Ball Mount

Question:

Will this fit the 2.5inch receiver on my 2012 F450? I have a Fastway 42-00-2600 and cant figure out how to get both pins keyed alike to fit the height adjustment pin and the one that locks the shank to the truck. I purchased the 86-00-3685 and it does not work, the height adjustment pin is too thick. Please help. Thanks Regards

The Fastway Flash E Series Adjustable, Aluminum Ball Mount - 2 Chrome Balls - 6" Drop, 7" Rise - 10K, # FA42-00-2600 you said you have is a fit for 2 inch hitch receivers not 2-1/2 inch hitch receivers. The Fastway Trailer Hitch Lock and Adjustment Pin Lock Set for Flash E Series Ball Mounts, # FA86-00-3660, is a fit for this hitch and its compatible 2 inch receiver opening measured inside to inside. I'm guessing that you measured the receiver from outside vs. the inside opening and this is the proper fit for your application. This lock has a 5/8 inch pin and a 1/2 inch pin.

If you have a receiver opening measuring 2-1/2 inches inside to inside, you must be using a different ball mount like the similar # FA42-00-2625. If this is the case, you will want the Fastway Trailer Hitch Lock and Adjustment Pin Lock Set for Flash E Series HD Ball Mounts # FA86-00-3685 to fit a 2-1/2 inch receiver and the adjustment pin. This kit has two 5/8 inch pins in different lengths.

If you are using the 2 inch ball mount in a 2-1/2 inch hitch opening with a reducer adapter, there isn't a keyed alike option for your customized configuration.
