Bike Rack Recommendation for 2019 Toyota Prius that Allows Rear Hatch to Open

Question:

Greetings, I have a 2019 Prius which, sad to say, has too much glass on the hatchback for a standard trunk-mount bike rack 1-1/4. I also have a 2009 Saturn VUE 2inch hitch. I need a bike rack that lets me open the hatchback, at least when there is not a bike on the track. But not a roof rack. Can you tell me which racks let you open the trunk? Thanks

The Thule DoubleTrack Pro Xt part # TH92BJ is a great choice for the hitch of both of your vehicles. This rack can tilt down with bikes loaded and also can have the main mast of the rack fold down when not loaded with bikes.

This fits both hitch sizes you mentioned as well. The 1-1/4 inch the Prius would have and the 2 inch your Vue has.

If you need a hitch for the Prius the Draw Tite part # 24966 is a great option as well.

Trunk racks do not let you open the rear door with the rack installed.
