Question:
Hi, I need a 2inch receiver with a 250# TW to host a vertical bike rack on a 2013 Mazda 5. This will not be used for towing and I am unable to locate a premade hitch. I am hoping a could make a universal kit work possibly the C13900? Thanks!!

If you look at the attached photos, you can see how a custom trailer hitch receiver, like the Draw-Tite # 24874 or Curt # # C11127 are designed to avoid interference with the exhaust system. Universal hitches, like # C13900, have a cross tube that runs straight across, which will not work on your 2013 Mazda 5.
Short of having a local fab shop fabricate and weld a custom 2 inch receiver for you, you're going to be limited to the 200 lbs of tongue weight that one of our custom hitches can offer. Your best option for that would be the Draw-Tite # 24874 because it's easier to install than the # C11127 and it does not require drilling into your vehicle's frame. You can then use a bike rack designed to fit directly into its 1-1/4 receiver, like the Saris Freedom 2 Bike Platform Rack # SA4412B. It can carry two bikes that weight up to 60 lbs each and it has a built in 8 inch rise, to maximize your ground clearance.
I've linked installation video for the Draw-Tite hitch as well as a review video that goes over all the features and specs of the Saris bike rack.
