Is Wiring Waterproof for Aries Motorized Running Boards on 2020 Chevy Silverado 1500 Crew Cab

Question:
I have a 2020 Chevy Silverado 1500 crew cab and the aries actriontrac motorized running boards look pretty awesome. I haven't had motorized boards on a truck before so the one thing I'm concerned about is the wiring. Is it waterproof? I see you say it keeps the elements out but I'm not 100 percent sure what that means. Is water going to affect these?

That's an excellent question, and as you can see by the cut out of the linked directions, the wiring harness is totally waterproof and the motors are water-resistant on the Aries ActionTrac Motorized Running Boards with Custom Installation Kit - LED Lights # AA3048315 that fit your 2020 Chevy Silverado 1500 Crew Cab.
So to put it simply, when driving through rain and puddles, or washing your truck, the harness and motors of the running boards are completely safe. The wiring will not be affected whatsoever by water apart from someone accidentally driving into a lake, for example (and I'm confident you can avoid that).
