Question:

I am looking for a receiver hitch for my 2005 Chevy silverado 3500. I know they make a bolt on version for that model but the hitch sits really low on truck. I was looking to see if this one which doesn’t down would fit in the frame rails and mount with some modification. Again, the one for the 2005 3500 sits really low?

Due to the design of the front of your 2005 Chevy Silverado 3500 the only place you'll be able to have a front hitch opening is below the front fascia like where the Curt # 31108 installs. This would be best option we have, but if you really needed something that sits higher you'd probably need to find a fabricator who would be willing to modify the front fascia of your truck and see if they could install one higher.
