Question:

I measured the hub and ordered the Bearing Buddy that measured 1.968. That is a little bit too small. Is Bearing Buddy that measures 1.980 the best option for this hub?

The correct Bearing Buddy Bearing Protector like part # BB1980A will be the one that matches the inner diameter of the hub bore opening on the trailer hub. In order to obtain the correct Bearing Buddy Bearing Protector you''ll need a digital caliper and measure to the nearest thousandth of an inch. I have attached a list of our Bearing Buddy Bearing Protectors below.

Unfortunately, I can't recommend using the wrong size Bearing Buddy in hopes it will fit. Therefore, my suggestion is to remeasure the hub bore opening. That said, there isn't a Bearing Buddy for every hub so keep that in mind.
