Question:
I have a question about the bearing buddy. Does the zirk fitting on the hub need to be removed to use the bearing buddy?

You are correct that the zerk fitting on your spindle will need to be removed for you to use the bearing buddy, but the great part is the bearing buddy will be able to push grease through the spindle providing grease through the spindle to the inner bearing.
To find the correct bearing buddy you will need to use digital calipers like # PTW80157 to measure the inside diameter of your hub since each bearing buddy is made for a certain sized hub. For example the Bearing Buddy Bearing Protectors # BB2441SS is for hubs with a 2.441" hub bore.
If you can measure you hub and provide that measurement I would be happy to recommend the correct Bearing Buddy for you.
