Does Demco Kar Kaddy Have a Reverse Lockout for the Hydraulic Brakes

Is it possible to back up while using this DM9713045 dolly or will the hydraulic brakes lock up? Thanks!

The Kar Kaddy SS, part # DM9713045, does not have a lock out on the hydraulic brakes to keep them from engaging while in reverse. With that being said in most cases you won't need one because the dolly is only 615 pounds unloaded which won't likely put enough resistance to engage the brakes. It's not recommend to be backed up anyway and definitely don't back up with the vehicle on the dolly. Since the Kar Kaddy swivels at both the platform and the coupler it'll get pretty squirrely and likely damage both the dolly and the vehicle.
With that being said, a lockout can be added to the Kar Kaddy using part # DM5939.
