Difference Between Tekonsha Trailer Wiring Harnesses that Fit 2019 Honda Odyssey

Question:
It says the Item #118781 has a upgraded Circuit Protected ModuLite HD Module, however it has a lower listed price. Is there any other differences? I was hoping to install a 7 pin connection to charge the trailer battery as well. What are my options?

The big difference between the two Tekonsha trailer wiring harnesses that fit your 2019 Honda Odyssey is how they draw power to activate the trailer lights. The # 118753 has a wire that runs up to the vehicle battery which is used to power all of the trailer lights directly from the battery. This is a much safer setup but the install in more involved and it costs more. The part # 118781 installs much easier but it draws power for the trailer taillights through the wiring panel of the Odyssey. Not terribly dangerous or bad for the vehicle vehicle but in event of short on trailer wiring it could potentially blow some fuses on the vehicle.
I attached install videos for both kits for you to check out as well.
