When you’re pulling heavy loads day after day, this setup brings the strength and stability you need. The Kenda Karrier KR53 radial tire carries a 6-ply rating and supports up to 1,820 lbs at 50 psi. Its N speed rating (87 mph) meets Department of Transportation specs, giving you confidence that it’s ready for long highway runs and real-world towing conditions.
Rust and road grime don’t stand a chance here. The 15" x 5" modular steel wheel uses a two-step finish—an e-coat primer topped with a black powder coat—for lasting corrosion resistance. It keeps its clean look through wet roads, salt spray, and long storage periods without flaking or dulling out.
The KR53’s radial design runs cooler on long trips and provides a steady feel at speed. Its computer-optimized wide tread and premium rubber compounds deliver dependable grip in both wet and dry conditions, while engineered sidewalls resist ozone cracking and fatigue over time. It’s a tire built to roll smoothly mile after mile.
Skip extra shop time—this assembly comes matched and balanced from the factory so you can mount it and get rolling fast. With a 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern, 3.19" pilot diameter, and standard 1/2"-20 wheel bolts, fitment is straightforward and reliable right out of the box.
If the tire is damaged in any way within the first 12 months, it’s replaced at no charge under Kenda’s 1-Year Worry-Free Guarantee. You also get a 1-year warranty on the tire itself and a limited 2-year warranty on the wheel for added assurance every time you tow.
1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at the Kenda Karrier KR53 ST205/75R15 radial trailer tire. It's in a load range C. And it's mounted on this 15 inch black modular steel trailer wheel with the 5 on 4-1/2 inch bolt pattern. Now, this tire and wheel assembly is ideal for stock trailers, utility trailers, and even campers. This is the new Kenda Karrier KR53 special trailer radial tire.
It's a low weight tire, provides better fuel economy for long trips, and it is an ST tire, which stands for Special Trailer tire, has the sturdy sidewall so they can handle heavy loads and it is created specifically for trailers. It's not intended for use for other vehicles. The sidewalls are basically engineered for enhanced durability and resistance to ozone exposure. The tread on it is a computer-generated tread design and it uses premium rubber compound materials, gives you superior traction in wet or dry conditions. And the tire size on this, if we go to the sidewall, you'll be able to see it's listed ST for Special Trailer 205/75R15.
The R means that this is a radial tire. Section width on this is 7.8 inches. Overall diameter from the bottom to the top when it's inflated is 27.1 inches. We mentioned it's a load range C, which means it's a six ply rated at tire. It does have a maximum load capacity of 1,820 pounds at 50 PSI.
And it does come with a speed rating stamped on it. And I do wanna show you where that's located. Right after the tire size, you'll see two numbers for the load index, then you'll see the letter N. They stamp the speed rating with a letter designation and the speed rating N is a 87 mile per hour speed rating. The wheel is a modular design by Dexstar.
It's a sturdy steel construction. And when we say modular design, it's the one that has the round holes all the way around the wheel. This'll give you excellent corrosion resistance 'cause they use a two-step finishing process on the wheel, which will include first an e-coat primer and then a black powder coat finish over the whole wheel. It is a high quality wheel, meets the DOT Department of Transportation specifications. Now, if you notice, the center cap is not included. If you do want one, we do sell those separately on our website. You do wanna make sure to get one that'll have the same diameter as this pilot hole 'cause when you install your center cap, it does go through that hole. The diameter of this pilot hole is 3.19 inches. Now, the wheel itself, the diameter is 15 inches. The width on just the wheel is five inches wide. This wheel has a bolt pattern of 5 on 4-1/2 inches. And if you wanna measure that on a wheel that's a five lug or an odd number of lugs, it's pretty easy. All you have to do is pick one of the holes, let's say this one, and then you're gonna measure across to either one of these holes. And when you measure, it's from the center of the starting hole to the furthest edge of the hole that you measure to. So on this one, if we measured, it'd be 4-1/2 inches. So it's a five lug, 4-1/2 inch bolt pattern. Does use a wheel lug size 1/2 by 20, and the weight capacity on just the wheel is 2,200 pounds. Now, this tire and wheel assembly will meet the DOT Department of Transportation specifications. But that's gonna do it for a look at this Kenda Karrier KR53 ST205/75R15 radial trailer tire in a load range C on this 15 inch black modular steel trailer wheel.
