Question:

My son has a 2016 Ram Power Wagon and will be towing a fifth wheel trailer weighing as much as 13000 lbs. will the air bag airlift 5000 system safely handle his towing needs? His truck has a 9800 lbs max wight limit. Thanks

The Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Ultimate Air Helper Springs # AL88289 will definitely be able to support the weight on the rear of your son's 2016 Ram 2500 because they have a 5,000 lb capacity, and the pin weight on the back of your son's Ram is going to be in the range of about 2,500 lbs (in the area of 15% to 20% of the trailer's full weight).

So yes your son's towing needs will absolutely be met by installing the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 # AL88289.

I do strongly recommend using a compressor system to make it much, much easier to control the air pressure of the springs, the Air Lift Load Controller Compressor System for Air Helper Springs # AL25856.
