This Shocker 5th Wheel to Gooseneck Pin Box lets you pull your fifth-wheel trailer with a gooseneck hitch rated for 24,000 lbs gross towing weight and 6,000 lbs tongue weight. It replaces Lippert 1621, 0719, or Rhino pin boxes and connects to a standard 2-5/16" ball so you can tow without the need for a bulky fifth-wheel hitch. Made from steel tubing with a 4140 cast steel socket, the assembly is shot blasted and powder coated for long-lasting durability.
The integrated air bag and bumpers in the coupler absorb road shock and cut down on the push-pull feeling that’s common when towing heavy trailers. The air ride design filters out bumps and helps limit jerking, giving you steadier control over your truck and trailer. By reducing stress on both the frame and contents, it helps extend the life of your setup while keeping the ride comfortable.
You can easily tune how much cushioning you want by adjusting the air pressure in the built-in air bag. Load up your trailer and add more air for support, or let some out when towing lighter to keep the ride from feeling too stiff. It’s a simple way to match the suspension feel to what you’re hauling.
Hitching and unhitching are straightforward thanks to the lockable lever that engages or releases the coupler from the ball. The patented Shift Lock coupler uses dual locking bars to secure the ball in place for a tight fit that helps reduce rattle. Grease zerk fittings at the pivot point make maintenance quick, so you can keep everything working smoothly with just a few pumps of grease.
Because this setup connects directly to your gooseneck ball, you don’t need a fifth-wheel hitch taking up space. When it’s not in use, your truck bed stays open for hauling gear or materials. You get the smoother ride of an air-ride system and the convenience of a clean bed when it’s time to load up for something else.
Note: Safety chain adapters are needed to attach the mandatory safety chains for your rig. Use SHK35MR (sold separately) for best results.

This was a tremendous hitch. I have a standard bed, and I can do a 90 degree turn without hitting the cab or side rails.
Really smooths out the pull on my 14K Cedar Creek 5th wheel. I have used gooseneck conversions since 1996 and this is the best. the Demco latch is the way to go. Carter got it shipped out to me on Sunday and UPS delivered it on Wednesday. Outstanding!

If you have all the right tools, and an assistant, this is a simple 1 hour job. I pulled my truck back, supported the pinbox using an 8x8" block and easily pushed it into place using the block as a pivot point. I dont know what the sweet spot for PSI will be but towing (came preloaded at 20 PSI) but seems smoother and I gained about 3-5" space beteen my truck and trailer after installation. If you get the safety chain package, the shaft on the pinbox bolts will be too short...I grabbed Class 5 bolts at a local Tractor Supply. A noticable umprovement occured when I loaded my duelly, the bed didnt sink like it used with the 5th wheel and the trailer seemed to find its natural level quickly.
Hauled great, working on the amount of air in the system for the best ride.
Bought this product in midst received it on Wednesday it recommended some grease and a second person, fortunately I didn’t need any of those I just put a starter bolt when installed the king pin as followed per the directions. Very simple install I had the torqued to spec in 30 mins with removal. Basically I installed it the the same bolt holes I removed the old one and adjust how I needed to on the gooseneck lock down nut. First holding a stock lift 25 ram 3500 first hole it sat pretty level I am on a bit of a decline when test I tried the 3rd hole it was too high the middle I went with the second hole to see how the load carry’s tomorrow I went with 30 psi on the absorber I’ll follow back with ride details in a few days
Install was simple and we've put over 2500 miles on it so far a considerable amount of which was in very windy conditions and it handled beautifully!!
Will recommend to anybody considering a goose ball!

Totally satisfied. This hitch makes my 41ft toy hauler ride as smooth as if it weren’t there. I had to add 30psi to the air adjust. Perfect! A bit more of an alignment challenge on tow hookup, but practice makes it a smooth operation. Installation was a breeze with just one person. 5 stars!
