Question:
We bought a new to us travel trailer its 34foot long 9000lb GVRW dry is 7100lb. The coupler is located at the bottom of the frame rails instead of sitting at the top. My frame rails are 6inch tall. I was wondering if this will work with my trailer? I had bought an Andersen Hitch but the way my coupler is, I think it caused more harm than good. Was very touch and go when we brought the trailer home. I am in need of something good to combat sway thats less than the Hensly Hitch. I pull it with a 2018 F150 Crew cab max tow. I do have air bags as well. I would also like to tow it with our 2020 expedition max tow as well if possible. At the end of all this rambling, I just need something that fits my trailer and cuts out the sway. Any advice is much appreciated! Thank you!

The type of coupler you have now is an underslung style since it is attached to the bottom of your trailer frame. Now the Equal-i-zer kit # EQ37141ET can fit your trailer but you'll have to get a little creative with how you attach the frame bracket. You'll need to weld the bracket to the side of the frame like in the picture I attached since your frame dimensions are too tall and you'd need the brackets lower to compensate for the underslung coupler.
Now the other thing worth mentioning is that if you are getting persistent sway that starts at highway speeds and doesn't quit unless you slow down the issue is that you need more tongue weight in your trailer. WD systems will prevent sway from passing semi trucks and high winds but they can't stop sway caused by improper trailer loading. You need the tongue weight of your trailer to be 10 to 15 percent of your total trailer weight.
