Features to know about

Smooth, Level Ride on Rough Roads: 4-Leaf Double-Eye Spring Handles 6,000-lb Axles

Long miles and uneven pavement can make a trailer bounce and sway. This 25-1/4"" long, 4-leaf double-eye spring flexes to absorb road shock so your trailer rides level and steady. Each leaf helps share the load, reducing wear and tear on your trailer and keeping things stable no matter how rough the route gets.

Built to Last in Harsh Conditions: Powder-Coated Steel Resists Corrosion

Salt, rain, and road grime can eat away at unprotected metal. This spring is built from sturdy steel with a protective powder-coat finish that stands up to corrosion, making it ideal for marine or wet-weather use. It keeps its strength and finish even when exposed to tough conditions.

Dependable Fit and Strength: 1-3/4"" Wide with 9/16"" Nylon-Bushed Eyes

A solid connection at each end keeps the suspension moving smoothly. The 1-3/4"" wide spring has 9/16"" eye bushings (11/16"" without bushing) for secure mounting to your hangers and shackles. With a 3,000-lb spring capacity—6,000 lbs per axle—it’s built to match heavy-duty setups while maintaining proper alignment and consistent ride height.

Simple Replacement, Straightforward Setup: Compatible with Standard Hanger Hardware

When you’re under the trailer replacing parts, this spring fits right in with standard hanger and shackle assemblies. It mounts to the hanger on one end and connects to shackle straps or an equalizer on the other. Whether you’re upgrading worn factory parts or restoring an older trailer, it’s an easy way to bring back smooth, reliable suspension performance.

Video Transcript for Review of EMCO Trailer Leaf Springs - 4 Leaf Double Eye Spring 6000 lbs Trailer Axle - EM48RB

Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a quick look at this four-leaf double-eye spring for your 6,000-pound trailer axles. Now this double-eye leaf spring acts as part of your trailer suspension system by providing an attachment point for your 6,000-pound axle. This is made from a sturdy steel construction with a powder coat finish, it's gonna help resist corrosion. And this is designed to flex, to absorb road shock and give you a smooth ride.

It's gonna help reduce wear and tear on your trailer, and this is going to ensure a level ride on bumpy and uneven surfaces. So, as you probably know, double-eye leaf springs attach to hangers that are welded onto your trailer. One end of the spring will attach directly to the hanger with a suspension bolt, and then the other end will attach to shackle straps that are suspended from a hanger. These straps allow the spring to move and pivot so that it can better compensate for uneven pavement. Now if you have a tandem or a triple-axle trailer, the shackle straps will be attached to the equalizer that connects multiple springs.

Now if you're in need of hangers, suspension bolts, or equalizers, you can find all of those items here at etrailer.com. And the eyes on each end are pre-installed nylon bushings. The eye diameter with the bushing is 9/16 of an inch, and without the bushing, it's 11/16 of an inch. And again, this is a one, two, three, four-leaf spring. Individually it's rated at 3,000 pounds.

So that means if you install a pair, one on each side of your axle, you're covered for 6,000 pounds of trailer weight support. Now let me go ahead and put my tape measure up to this and I wanna measure the length center to center. So as I hope you can see there on center, we're sitting right at 25 1/4 inches. And the width is 1 3/4 inches. And to ensure proper axle alignment and suspension performance, leaf springs should always be replaced in pairs, and we do recommend installation by a professional.

If you happen to have any other questions, whether it's about this spring or any of the other items that we carry here at etrailer.com, don't hesitate to reach back out to us. We do want to make sure that you're getting exactly what you want and need. Well, again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.

I used these as an upgrade to my stock sagging springs. Going from 1750lb to these 2000lb springs lifted the trailer roughly 1 inch which was perfect as I'm often offroad

by:

3 springs that are correct are fine. The 4 spring is the wrong spring, sent a 4 leaf instead of a 7 leaf, still waiting on the correct replacement.

by:

Great customer service quick shipping t ime.

by:

Would be five stars if they came with bronze bushings

by:

Haven't installed as of yet but the customer service was excellent Fast shipping and good company follow up. Carter put all my questions and research at ease
I had called other suppliers, not answering phone or had no clue / answers to my questions

by:

Haven’t had a chance to install them yet, I do believe they will work good. Replacing flattened old #3500 leafs with these for a single axel travel trailer.

by:

The paint/coating on the springs looks awful, hopefully the metallurgy is better. Also, the leafs are shorter than the OEM Dexter spring that it replaces.

by:

The leaf spring showed up onto the campground a day earlier than expected! Great job getting us our part so we could enjoy our vacation!

by:

Huge difference from 4 leaf to 5 leaf on my tandem 5200lb axles

by:

These were the perfect replacement for the springs on my 10 year old Keystone Fuzion 414. They arrived in perfect condition and I was able to do the install myself. It took the entire day because I had never done it before but in the end, I'me very happy witht he outcome.

by:

New springs eliminated the annoying trailer squeaking noise. Very Pleased five star rating

by:

Perfect replacement for my stock Dexter Springs.
Also installed the Dexter EZ Flex Equilizer with Wet Bolt Kit.

by:

Ordered springs for my camper because mine had worn out and become flattened. Replaced with 8k springs and went very smoothly. A little learning curve with triple axle but product was perfect. Very happy. Make sure you ordervnrw u bolts and brass bushings and wet bolts too. I did not and had to after the fact. That was my error.

Broken leaf spring): Ordered the leaf spring late Friday afternoon California time zone. (We travel full time). Most impressed, order was processed Friday night by E-Trailer, with two day delivery. Of coarse it was the weekend, part was picked up Monday morning in Missouri and I had it in my hands by 11:30am Tuesday. I could track the order easily with the link E-trailer provided. We were near Redcrest California, which is not a big town at all, about 50 miles south of Eureka CA.(no parts of this kind in the area). And the best part of all--the part fit perfectly! E-trailers website is very user friendly for getting the right part, the first time!!

by:

The brass bushings should not have to be pounded in and then the bolt through the bushings because the bushings oblong them selves because the springs are not straight.

  • What CRE3000 Equalizers and Upgraded Shackle Strap Kit will I Need for My 2025 Grand Design Imagine?
Hello Bob, Congrats on the new 2025 Grand Design Imagine XLS 22MLE! Where did you take it for its first trip to break it in? We do not have a database that tells us what is installed on each trailer, man oh man, what a long list that would be! So, you’ll need to check a couple of measurements to make sure you’re getting the right parts for your setup. When it comes to the CRE3000s, I really wish they would leave that wheelbase off there. We’ve found that it’s not the most accurate way...

  • Does the Band Around the Spring Pack Go Forward When Installing Leaf Springs?
Hey Andrew. What direction the band is on doesn't matter with leaf springs like the 25-1/4" Long 4-Leaf Double-Eye Spring item # EM48RB. It can go on either side because this spring is centered. The only reason you'd be concerned about the direction of a double-eye leaf spring is if one sides short. What you would want to do is measure the distance from the center of the spring eye on one end of the spring to the center of the spring and then to the center of the back spring eye. The...
