Question:
Will I have to cut my bed liner for it to mount on the ball?

Helpful Expert Reply:
The base of the Demco Recon Gooseneck-to-5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Adapter # DM8550045 needs to sit directly on the truck bed, which means you do have to cut the bed liner on your truck for the Recon to properly secure.
If you check out the accompanying photo a customer sent in of the Recon installed on their truck, you can see that a section of their bed liner is cut and the Recon fitting nicely.
The base measures 28 inches front-to-back (as in from the tailgate to cab) and 30-1/2 inches from side to side. I have added links to video reviews as well as the instructions for you to check out of the Demco Recon Gooseneck-to-5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Adapter # DM8550045.
