I have a 2019 Ram 2500 diesel and it does not have the factory puck system for a in 5th wheel hitch. I love the concept, so I definitely would have gotten this option but I bought it used, so now Im exploring my options for a 5th wheel hitch. I dont like the idea of having rails bolted to the floor of my bed when the hitch is removed, so Im wondering what would be involved in installing the puck system, even though it wasnt installed from the factory? There are flat spots in the bed where the pucks would go, but surely it cant be as easy as drilling holes...

I have a solution for you, but the Reese Under-Bed Rail and Installation Kit # RP30074 is not a fit for your 2019 Ram 2500 and there is not an aftermarket puck system available at this point in time for your truck. The best solution to tow a 5th wheel trailer and still have a clean truck bed when not in use is the B&W Custom Underbed Installation Kit for B&W Companion 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches # BWGNRK1320-5W. This underbed kit provides you with a heavy duty B&W Turnoverball gooseneck hitch that can be used to mount either the # BWRVK3400-5W (slider base for 6-1/2 foot beds) or the # BWRVK3500-5W (for 8 foot beds) to tow a 5th wheel trailer with your 2019 Ram 2500. As mentioned, using this B&W kit will provide you with the clear truck bed that you're seeking when not towing a 5th wheel trailer.
