It sounds like you have the Air Command F3 Compressor System w/ Wireless Remote and Light Duty Compressor - Dual Path part # F2581. This system came with the a light duty 120 PSI compressor with a 9% duty cycle, the direct air compressor replacement is part # F9377.

Yes, you can replace the light duty compressor with a heavy duty compressor Firestone Heavy Duty Air Compressor part # F9499 which operates at 150 PSI with a 30% duty cycle compared to a 9% duty cycle that you have now so the heavy duty compressor will run longer and have less cool down time. If you are using your compressor daily I recommend to use the heavy duty compressor.
