How to Get to Replacement Lift Motor on MaxxFan RV Vent

Question:

Your experts are only showing the replacement of the actual fan motor, not the lift motor. Do you have instructions on accessing the lift motor for replacement?

While I don't have direct instructions about replacing the Lift Motor # MA10-20270, I can tell you how to gain access to the lift motor.

You want to start by removing the screen on your MaxxFan. This is done by rotating the 4 locking tabs 180 degrees (red arrows). Once the screen is out of the way there will be 4 screws that you see. Remove them as well as the screw from the manual lift knob (green arrow). After you do this the bottom panel of your vent will move freely down and you have access to the lift motor to replace it. I do recommend cutting power to your vent prior to messing with any of the electronics just to make sure you and the vent aren't hurt.
