Today, we're going to review part number NSAS. These are the Brophy Non-Slip Adhesive Safety Strips. These safety strips are designed for the steel and aluminum scissor stairs and steps. This part will come with a package of quantity of four strips. These are great for additional traction to any scissor steps. The size on each strip, they are 11 inches long and 1 inch wide.

Now, this package does contain four separate strips and these are a non-slip adhesive and they are stretchable to conform to a diamond tread on the steps. That should do it for review on part number NSAS.

Two packages of these were purchased to reduce the possibility of slipping on the new camper steps I purchased at the same time. I found that they went on easily and provided the additional level of safety I was looking for. Since they have just been installed, I cannot speak to their durability, but that will be discovered after some time in use.

The scissor steps were just what I wanted. Stronger than aluminum and cost effective. The skid strips however are less than what I would have ordered, my fault I didn't ask for a description. A one inch skid strip per step isn't going to do much.

The TorkLift GlowStep Camper Scissor Steps - 6 Steps # TLA7506 have a grooved surface (see attached) to help provide better grip, but I will say that they are still pretty basic so if you want something more heavy duty then you'll need to get something like grip tape and put it on the steps instead.     Yes, you can mount the Brophy Steel Scissor Steps, # SS04, to a truck tailgate. I recommend installing the mounting bracket on the top of the tailgate (see photo). To install the mounting bracket, you will want to use four 1/4 inch x 1-1/2 inch long lag screws. Brophy recommends pre-drilling the holes with a 5/32 inch drill bit.     I called the supplier (C.R. Brophy) on the Brophy Non-Slip Adhesive Safety Strips, # NSAS, and they said they are designed for the steel and aluminum steps. They can be used indoors or outdoors. As far as working on wood steps they did stay that the strips will adhere to the wooden steps they just do not know how long that the strips will last on wooden steps if used outdoors. They have only tested them for durability on the steel or aluminum steps.
