Speaker 1: Today we're gonna take a look at the replacement Smoke Rain Shield for the Maxx Fan Deluxe roof vent. Now, this part will the rain shield on the Maxx Fan Deluxe roof rent, part number MA00-6401K, which we do sell separately, on our website. This rain shield is designed to protect the interior of your RV, or your camper, from any rainwater. It still allows you to open your vent, and operate the fan in any weather. It eliminates the need to install a separate vent cover. It is constructed of a high-density polypropylene.
It has a smoke color to it, and it does use the existing hardware for installation. If you notice, it has the piano hinge bracket on this end, and the other piano hinge bracket on this end, and then the other bracket's right here, in the middle.This part is for a quantity of one rain shield. And the last thing I want to do is just give you some measurements on this. Overall length on this, at the widest point .. Pick this up, and we'll go in the middle here.
So, for widest point, end-to-end, you're gonna be right at 23 and a quarter inches long. The width on it, it's right at 16 and a half inches wide. And the total height on it, is gonna be right at, about four and a half inches tall. But, that should do it, for the review on the replacement Smoke Rain Shield for the Maxx Fan Deluxe roof vent.

My vent cover and rain shield were destroyed by a sudden, violent microburst. This replacement assembly is identical to the original and fits perfectly. I was fortunate that the original screws attaching the original cover remained so I could use them. It would be nice if this new cover came with screws.

Exact fit! Our MaxxFan lids were showing signs of age and wear from being in the sun for the last 8 years. These were the exact replacement and installed with ease. They are so much clearer than the old ones! Very pleased with the quality!

Two years ago I replaced my original ceiling fans on my Gulstream BT5240 with the Maxxair super fans thinking I was upgrading to a quality product, I was mistaken because I have had to replace defective circuit boards, cover lift motor and now a cover.
I was happy to find the replacement parts at etrailer. Fair price and fast shipping.

Replacing a broken cover isnt always easy. This cover took about 45 minutes to replace including cleaning all attaching parts.

This is a perfect replacement for MaxxAir Delux roof vents. I can't thank etrailer enough for having it in stock. Even my local dealers said there was no replacement available. The price tag is another matter though. 166+ cost for this is nothing short of extorsion. There can be no excuse for it except greed on the part of the manufacturer. If you have a need for a new roof vent, I suggest you buy any brand other than MaxxAir. At some point you will need a new rain shield, and it will not please you to have to pay a kings ransom for it. In my case I needed two (hail storm), and to say I wish I had never heard of MaxxAir would be an understatement.

Exact replacement of the original. However, they might as well ask you for your first born considering what it cost! Way overpriced to the point where I feel I was taken advantage of. Definitely need to lower the cost for these.

Honestly I don’t know as I haven’t installed it. I will tell you I was concerned about the how it was packaged and protected for shipment. It was in a much larger box, next to nothing on foam protection, very loose in box. The way packages are handled during shipping I was lucky it wasn’t damaged.

MaxxFan replacement Smoke roof vent cover was exactly as described , fit perfectly and was shipped on time. Helped me fix the fact that I ordered the wrong (white) cover fan to begin with and didn't notice till I unpacked it 30 days after purchase. The smoke cover lets in some natural light vs the white which does not.

Nice solid material creating a new tinted window with a view once installed. Beware purchasing the white plastic top as it is not made of the same solid plastic. Also beware that while this looks like an easy replacement, the heads of the five screws holding the old fan cover on the front end are not acessible with a screwdriver. I ended up using a wrench on the point end of the screws to back them out, then fitted the lip on the new cover with snap on speed nuts so that the the screws could be installed backwards. Seems to hold the cover just fine.

My maxxfan deluxe (this DOES fit the deluxe models that are manual lift) had an unfortunate run in with a parking garage roof, so I was extremely happy to find a replacement rain shield was available for sale. etrailer was the only site I saw them available from and it arrived the day after I ordered it. The cover is replaceable and is available both in White # MA05-30510 and Black # MA05-30520. If you have a different MaxxAir Fan please let me know and I'll be happy to help you find the exact part! Was anything else damaged on your RV? We don't get a ton of hail here in Missouri, but it makes everyone nervous when we do because you never know what might get damaged.
