If you're getting a flashing letter P on the Replacement Variable Speed Controller for SaltDogg Salt Spreader # BP54FR, it indicates a spinner motor overload. To resolve this, inspect and clear the spinner disc as outlined in the troubleshooting chart attached.

I've attached the complete installation instructions for you at the bottom of the page as well.

I have a salt dog sgs07 spreader tail gate version and when not salt is in it spins soon as I put salt in it stops but you can still hear the vibration and the motor both running I’m very puzzled

@Lars Did you by chance mean TGS07 instead of SGS07? I can't seem to locate an SGS07 from Salt Dog, but I could be mistaken! If you do have the TGS07 then that would be our part # 337TGS07. Do you know if this spreader was working perfectly fine, then all of a sudden had this issue? It sounds like it could be jammed or clogged. I'd check that and see if the auger and spinner are adjusted correctly for what you're doing. It's possible there is not enough voltage getting to it to where the motor isn't strong enough to spin it when the weight of the salt is added, but this seems less likely to me. If you can please get back to me with more info, I'd be happy to look into it more or reach out to SaltDogg if I need to!

@Lars Does it only do it with certain product in it? Does it seem like it could be jammed?
