Question:

I have a Saltdogg TGS03 SPREADER with a 3011864 controller and Im getting a J code when the motor is mounted and a P code when its not this verifies that no jamming is present and auger is totally free with a new bearing installed. Motor spins free when 12 volts are applied while bench testing. Auger gearing turns freely upon manually turning and visual inspection. The vibrator doesnt work either a nd has 8.2 volts output at controller harness and 8.2 volts at vibratory/ harness connection. All connections are new and verified with an ohm meter. Im out of ideas, please help.

The problem you're seeing with the SaltDogg Electric Tailgate Salt Spreader # 337TGS03 sounds like it's either with the controller or with the harness. Try testing the harness by applying power to make the motor spin. If the problem still exists then it's the harness, but if the problem is fixed then something is wrong with the controller.

To replace the controller we have the part # BP54FR you can use.
