Question:
How wide does the frame have to be that the support brackets bolt onto? It seems the width of those are fixed and the bumper supports will have to be a certain width?? Thanks

The Lippert Components Flip Down Slotted Rack Tailgate Storage System part # LC243621 actually attaches to the bumper support brackets using the Installation Hardware for Lippert Components Tailgate Storage System part # LC373965. The bumper support brackets are a standard size, about 2-1/4 wide so there should not be any issues here. However, you do need to ensure you have at least 4" between the bumper and trailer so you have enough space for the brackets to mount.
I have attached a photo of this installation for you as well as a dimensional photo of the bracket. Please note, the brackets can be bolted on or welded.
