Troubleshooting New LED Lights on 2002 Chevy Express 3500 Causing Tekonsha Controller to Malfunction

Question:
My 2002 Chevrolet Express 3500 RV has Bargman taillights. I converted to Bargman LEDs when the old ones rotted out there was a jungle growing inside the lenses. Afterwards, the turn signals flashed fast so I replaced the flasher. That was fixed. However, the cruise control now only works with the headlights off. Annoying but livable. And secondly, when hooked up to the trailer, my Tekonsha Prodigy shows connected, but when I apply the brakes, it stays activated when I release the brakes. As you would expect, this causes vastly premature wear on the trailer brakes. Any idea what I should do next? Guessing some kind of load or resistor is needed? Thanks

You are correct that load resistors like part # P230004C will fix your issue.
I reached out to my contact at Horizon Global, who owns both Bargman and Tekonsha, and he said that it sounds like you have a current path in the mechanical switch system on your 2002 Chevy Express 3500 that is allowing some voltage with a little current back feed into the circuit. The load resistors will help to fix this problem.
