Correct Trailer Hitch for 2019 BMW X5

For your 2019 BMW X5 the correct trailer hitch is the Draw-Tite Class III Max Frame # 76288. This will line right up to existing holes in the frame rails for a bolt-on (no drill) installation and its hidden crosstube design allows for a sleek OEM appearance where only the 2" receiver is visible below the rear bumper.

The hitch features a 7,200 pound towing weight capacity and all the needed hardware is included. I have attached the written installation manual below that you can also look through.

Do I need to remove the “fascia” which I assume means the rear lower panel of the car? I’ve seen YouTube’s of rivets, rivet tools, pulling off the back of the car, etc. With my 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee I just ratcheted the bolts onto the existing holes in the frame. Thanks...

You do indeed need to trim the lower fascia on y our BMW to install the Draw-Tite # 76288. This is to allow the receiver to actually punch through the bumper (the crosstube remains hidden behind the bumper on this model). The full install manual is also linked on the product page.
