It sounds like you may be in the market for a new truck and would like a solution for a ladder rack for each potential vehicle. I do have a solution for you but the Pace Edwards Contractor Rig Rack Truck Bed Ladder Rack # 311-CR3005 will not work for either of those truck options.

Since we do not carry a ladder rack compatible with a 2019-2020 Honda Ridgeline, I will limit my recommendation to the 2018-2020 Toyota Tacoma. So, for an extra heavy duty ladder rack your best option is the T-Rac Pro2 Ladder Rack for Toyota Tacoma # TH37005XT. This is an no drill fixed rack with a 1,000 lb capacity which is ideal to haul ladders, lumber and other work equipment. The T-Rack Pro2 is compatible with 2016 and up Tacomas with or without the Deck Rail System. I have attached a photo as well as an installation video of this rack installed on a 2018 Tacoma to show you what it looks like.

The Pace Edwards Contractor Rig Rack is designed to work with trucks that already have a Pace Edwards Bedlocker, JackRabbit, or Full Metal JackRabbit tonneau cover with Explorer Series Rails installed.

I reached out to Pace Edwards and unfortunately they don't offer the above mentioned covers with the Explorer Series Rails for the 2019-2020 Honda Ridgeline or 2018-2020 Toyota Tacoma, which is why the # 311-CR3005 won't work with either.
