I am looking for a trailer light kit for my 2000 518vx ranger trail trailer. Its time to rewire all the lights.

A great choice for your boat trailer is the LED Trailer Light Kit for Trailers Over 80" Wide # TL16RK. This kit includes 2 tail lights which serve 8 functions (Stop, turn, tail, side marker, rear clearance, side reflector, rear reflector, and license plate light) and 2 sidemarker lights, all fully submersible. It also includes a license plate bracket, stainless steel mounting hardware, quick splice connectors and a 25 foot long wishbone harness with a 4-pole flat.
I definitely recommend using heat shrink connectors, # DW05744-5, instead of the quick splice connectors along with some self-fusing tape # DW04367 to create a truly water tight seal.
Lastly, if your boat trailer has hydraulic brakes, it probably uses a 5-pole connector. Since there aren't any kits that include a 5-pole harness (and parting out the kit is more expensive), you can purchase it separately as part # A25W5B.
