Can Other Motors Be Used with the Lippert Components Ground Control 2.0 Electric Leveling System

Question:

I only need the motor part of this assembly: Model: 1A065012-02-03 12VDC 2.8A ROT: CW Speed: 5430 RPM It seems there are other assemblies containing the same mfg motor with seemingly identical specs, yet slightly different part numbers at a much lower cost. Is there a motor only option or perhaps a different assembly with the same or comparable motor at a lower cost? Thanks.

I can certainly understand wanting to look for a more cost effective alternative but the motor and gear box for the Lippert Ground Control Leveling Systems are sold as one unit. The correct motor and gear box for your Lippert Ground Control 2.0 Leveling System (Model 1A065012-02-03) is the Replacement Motor with Clutch for Lippert Components Ground Control 2.0 Electric Leveling System part # LC241795.

I spoke with Lippert and asked if they had any other more cost effective options but sadly they do not. As you mentioned, there are several others that look very similar but the issue is with the high torque rating of the motor needed for the Ground Control 2.0 Leveling System. If you were to use a more cost effective motor it would have a lower torque value and you will then run the risk of the system collapsing and causing much more costly repairs.
