Adapter to Fit 3 inch Hitch of 2017 Ford F-350 and Provide 2 inch Hitch

Question:
I have read some different reports regarding using the Reese 38735 hitch adapter with the stock ford 3” receiver. Is it safe to use a 5/8 pin for the adapter to hitch pin since the adapter is 3/4” and the receiver is 5/8”?

The correct adapter for the 3 inch hitch on your 2017 Ford F-350 down to a 2 inch hitch is the Buyers Products adapter part # 337RTA302 as it has the correct diameter for the hitch pin of 5/8 inch. Everything else we offer does not match this size.
