When you’re hauling serious weight, this wheel is built to stay strong. The durable steel construction gives it the strength to handle frequent use and changing road conditions. With a 2,860-lb load rating, it’s made to carry the kind of loads that demand a solid foundation every trip.
You don’t have to keep checking your lugs after every haul. The beveled stud holes seat the wheel snug to the hub, maintaining clamp force so the connection stays tight. That detail keeps things secure and reduces the need for constant retightening after long drives.
Function doesn’t have to look plain. The modular style with cutouts gives this wheel a straightforward, balanced appearance, while the black powder coat finish adds protection and an easy-to-clean surface. It’s a simple design that looks sharp and holds up through regular use.
The 15" diameter x 6" wide rim gives you the stability needed for mid-to-heavy trailer duty, pairing well with common tire sizes for that class. The 6 on 5-1/2" bolt pattern is one of the most widely used six-lug layouts, making replacement or setup changes straightforward without guesswork.
This wheel isn’t just built tough—it’s backed up with a lifetime limited warranty for added peace of mind. It’s designed for dependable road performance so you can focus on getting where you need to go without worry about your equipment keeping up.
1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at the Lionshead 15" x 6" black modular steel trailer wheel with the 6 on 5-1/2" bolt pattern. Now, this is a steel wheel, has the modular design to it, which is sturdy and corrosion-resistant. Now, we say modular design, that's the one that has the round holes all the way around the wheel. The rust-resistant finish on this includes a black powder coat on both front and back of the wheel. And if you notice on the wheel itself, the center cap is not included.
If you do want a center cap, we do sell those separate on our website. You do want to make sure to get a center cap that'll have the same diameter as this pilot hole, 'cause when you install it, it'll slide through this hole. The diameter on this pilot hole is 4.29". And if you notice right down here, you notice there's a valve stem that is pre-installed, it is included. This wheel does meet the DOT, Department of Transportation, and the SAE J1204 specifications.
And this wheel is made in the USA. Do want to give you some measurements on this. We're gonna measure the diameter and the width. And when you measure the diameter, what you're gonna measure is inside to inside, or bead seat to bead seat. So if we take our tape measure and go inside to inside, there you can see is your 15" diameter.
The width will be the same way. You're gonna do inside to inside, or bead seat to bead seat. And there's your 6" wide wheel. Bolt pattern on this wheel is a 6 on 5-1/2" bolt pattern. And if you want to measure that on a wheel that's an even number of lugs, in this case six, it's pretty easy because if you notice, the lug holes are directly across from each other.
So all you have to do is pick one of the holes, any one, let's say this one, and then measure from the center of this hole directly across to the center of the hole right across from it. On this, it'll measure 5-1/2", so that's telling you this is a six lug, 5-1/2" bolt pattern. Does use a wheel lug size of 1/2" x 20. And the weight capacity on this wheel is 2,860 pounds. Now, we do also offer many other items for your trailer. All you need to do is click on the trailer tab that's located at the top of the website page. And also if you have any other additional questions regarding this part or any other item we carry, please feel free to reach out to us so that we can help get all your questions answered. But that's gonna do it for a look at this Lionshead 15" x 6" black modular steel trailer wheel with a 6 on 5-1/2" bolt pattern.

I purchased 4 of these 13" Rims to replace the factory spec Rims that came with my Boat Trailer & I could not be happier. I used my existing Tires (ST175/80D13) and had them changed out with no Issue - If you want to upgrade your Trailer Tire rims without spending $600 Dollars and look good doing it these are for you. From the Payment process to the Shipping & Receiving, All went perfect! I will shop at etrailer.com again. Thank you
Quality wheel. Exactly as advertised
I had aluminum rims on fifth wheel trailer (not sure what brand they were) but the aluminum would hair line crack rendering the wheel use less. I called James at etrailer, told him my problem. I wanted a rim as close to the original as possible and he came up with a solution. As I followed him on my laptop he said you’ll also need these valve stems, these wheel nuts, these Center caps. In a matter of minutes I placed the order and knew exactly what I was getting because of James expertise. I highly recommend the lions head aluminum rim.

This is my first purchase from Etrailer and I am impressed how fast they shipped this steel rim I ordered as a spare for my new enclosed trailer. It ended up being the exact rim my trailer came with ,so I was very happy. It’s a nice sturdy rim, and the welds looked good as they should. A+
Just what I needed for a farm feed trailer. Thanks, Greg H

Nice wheel. I had a friend, who is in the tire business, mount a tire. I asked him what he thought of the rim and he told me it was as beefy as I would need.
