Question:
Hello, Yes I have a Atwood System which everything as Drums, Springs, Shoes are good. With said the Wheel Cylinders are Shot and Rusted shut. It appears I Think you offer a Wheel Cylinder # RH-54-80-4 which I think is for your 7" which Id like to know if it will mount to my Atwood Back Plate and existing Shoes. As mentioned everything else is fine. Anything you can share would be great before I place a order. Thanks

As you probably noticed Atwood is no longer in the actuator and brake assembly business so any spare parts are becoming extremely difficult to find. We do not currently have any replacement wheel cylinders that would work with your existing Atwood assemblies. The Dexter RH Wheel Cylinder # 54-80-4 that you referenced would unfortunately not be compatible.
The only option I can offer, and really your best solution, is to replace the brake assemblies themselves. Even though your current units are in working order (other than the wheel cylinder) doing this will ensure availability of replacement parts down the line, not to mention provide you with brand new assemblies that will work great and last a long time.
For 7" x 1-3/4" hydraulic drum brakes the Dexter # 23-398-399 will work perfectly. This kit includes both the Left Hand and Right Hand assembly and is made right here in the USA. You will just need to make sure that their 4 bolt mounting pattern matches what you currently have.
I have attached a short video review that you can check out as well.
