Which measurement is against Parallel to Vehicle ? The Length or width ?

The Rhino Rack # RR32133 Sunseeker Awning is rectangular. The longer dimension is the width, at 8 feet if your're looking straight at the side of the vehicle. The awning extends out from its attachment point away from the vehicle by almost 7 feet. I've provided a photo for you showing the dimensions. Want to mount Sunseeker awing to a Rhino Rack large Roof Basket

The Sunseeker Awnings like # RR32133 are designed to attach to integrated channels on roof rack crossbars, so the only type of basket it's compatible with is the Rhino-Rack Pioneer Platform. If you already have a roof rack installed on your vehicle, the Pioneer # RR42115BF will work great. With the platform in place you'd then be able to attach the awning without issue!
