T-Bolt Setup that Could be Used in Top Channel of Yakima HD Crossbar

Question:

Hi there, I’m looking to mount Kingpin V series lights on my Yakama HD rack /crossbars using the t-slots. Would you by any chance know what t-slot hardware might be compatible? I know that is pretty vague but I was told the lights could be mounted via t-slots from the Kingpin customer service rep by drilling holes in the center line of the mount and use t-slots. However, they weren’t sure what specific t-slot hardware for the Yakama rack/crossbars. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Blake

Hey Blake, yeah it is a little difficult to let you know the exact best type of hardware to use to mount your lights in your Yakima HD crossbars but we do know that the Yakima T-Bolts part # Y8880184 are correct for the top channel of your crossbars so that would probably be a good starting point for mounting lights to the bars. Is this like an off-road light setup?

Hi James, Thanks for the response and information. Yes, correct. There are a couple options to mount the LED lights (VHB Tape & screws, could even prob just zip tie) however I thought the t-slot would look the cleanest and most professional. I might start with those t-slot bolts and just see how it works or if it will work. Appreciate your help. Best, Blake

@Blake Glad to help! yeah the T-bolt method would certainly look the best and be the most secure so hopefully you can come up with a way to make that work.
